Get to know me...

Hello! My name is Ashley Prieto. I am so excited to be back for another year at Baltic High School and am happy to include Garretson in to my schedule this year as well.  Last year was definitly a learning experience for my students and I at Baltic and this year,  I look forward to not only the end results of yearbook, but to see how much Spanish my students have learned. My Spanish background: I took three years of Spanish in High school and double majored in Education and Spanish in college at the University of Sioux Falls. I have been to Mexico six times and lived there for over a period of 3 years total over all the trips. We went back to Mexico this summer. We were visiting family and did some tourist attractions, such as visiting Cristo Rey, a statue of Jesus similar to the one in Rio de Jainero in Brazil, and going to the beach at Ixtapa. My husband, Jose, is from Mexico and we have two children, Caleb and Galilea.  Our children are learning both English and Spanish at home and it's so much fun to watch their minds work. This year, Caleb will be attending Baltic Elementary and is a 4th grader.
